I died here a long time ago.
I walk the path again, again.
To capture tears that I have wept--
to haunt is but to relive sin...
every teardrop made to cry?
shall be a tiny answer why...
of every mortal question dwell...
unanswered...silences in hell.

Tell me, someone, in the night,
why black is red, and red is white,
and why the queen she took the knight--
while every pawn in row took fell.

Too bad. How sad. She was not right.
A mimic of the words of plight
echoed through the canyon's yell?
Mispoken words of witches spell.

Thank you very much for this beautiful piece that carries so much mystery and leaves so much space for imagination.
Creates a consciousness in me how fleeting our existence is.

Powerful, Karen....

I died here a long time ago.
I walk the path again, again.
To capture tears that I have wept--
to haunt is but to relive sin...

really provokes my brain!
