Read Wuthering Heights, or you'll have no clue why I wrote this. Also, because it's the most amazingly beautifully tragically amazingly (etc. ) dark romance to have ever existed. This poem is Heathcliff pleading with the dead Katherine.

If there is any line better than "There is no reprieve in the flat pleasure of vengeance," I don't want to know about it! These smiling eyes are just a mirror for the sun. |

Well, if I hadn't captured Wuthering Heights well, no one would have ever read it. You're just not allowed to show off a desecration of your favorite novel, somehow. (And I, being the evil little corruptor that I am, got Mike hooked on Wuthering Heights too!) Well, why not? It's impassioned, haunting writing. Not to mention all the little notes and pictures Lori tucked away in th' book to fall onto my chest at certain passages .... God I love her. These smiling eyes are just a mirror for the sun. |

Wuthering Heights is in my heart as well; every line I know by heart. You have captured this love very well Anvrill! ~Rayne "...The surest way to kill me, is to kiss me again..." ~Katherine to her Heathcliff For in much wisdom is much grief |
