Stakes raised high, of no demise- ‘Tis fashion to be this way, Create a shell, therein ye dwell- Beyond Hope lies false façade. As shadows fall, thy form stands tall- To render his own living grave, Crucify Love’s Tale, with Hate’s sour wail- Be your own man, come judgment day. At rise of dawn, as Heathen’s spawn- You plagiarize good deeds as fronts, Sighing that you must cremate Trust- Obliterate feelings of lust and want. I beg thy remembrance, 'tis one hindrance- You must categorize true worth as so, Before loneliness confiscates life’s grate- Upon refusal to let your heart grow. Outward solidity, inward insecurity- ‘Tis naught but a waste of time, Count yourself worthy, bless security- Think twice, mayhap this be thine... *repost from Open #7 ???* Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

Devina, I read y'r poem 3 times, and each time I found parts I really loved. Well, I'm gonna read it a few more times "I do not feel obliged to believe that same God who endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect, had intended for us to forgo their use." - Galileo |
