a passing strange parade They are gone from me Bodies burnt or now decayed But still within my mind I see A passing strange parade! Like attired in funeral dress With faded flowers loosely clasped They smile and grin in mock distress They know my time is passing fast In stained and yellowing funeral shroud Silent and still she waits for me Tall, stately ,meek yet proud She is the only one I see Of all my friends long gone Amongst this tumult memory She alone amongst this throng Makes death a pleasant certainty arthur |

Very well done Arthur. Could this woman perhaps be your departed mother, or grandmother? Enjoyed, Nancy. |

Arthur, this is interesting...in a way, it's sad...yet, it is also strangely hopeful. Very reflective...I enjoyed... K |
