She said she was going out of town that week Out of state till after he had to leave again He wasnt going to see her She was leaving that morning before he got into town He returned then to an empty heart Wishing he could have seen her He was driving down her street half a week later Saw her car parked in her yard He pulled up and parked on the curb Got out of his car and began to walk to her door Saw her sister pulling out to leave When the car turned she was in the passenger seat And was like a shot to his heart He stood on the side of the road She rolled down her window Said "We're leaving, We're leaving right now" He just stood with a sad face She looked with unchanged face Said "Came to make sure I had left?" "No, came to see if you were here" Said "Yeah, to make sure I left" "No, to see if you wanted to do something" 4 days had she still been there since he came back 4 days she hadnt call to tell him she was there 4 days and still she lied that she was going Had she been alone in that car he would have cried Would have fell on the ground and cried She told him to get one of his other friends to go He couldnt even talk or he might cry Told her bye and and drove away So much of him died Died that day... |
