Sarah the daughter,
She was doing the dishes,
She dropped a cup,
It broke into pieces,
She sighed and picked it up,
As she swept up the rest of the pieces,
She felt really sad,
That was the cup,
Her Grandmother once had,

John the Dad,
He was standing on a ladder,
Putting up a shelf,
He was having some slight trouble,
Because he was doing everything by himself,
The shelf right beside him,
Was full of old, expensive glass,
He accidently knocked it off,
And to the floor it crashed,
He realized that was his wife's fine china,
And when she saw it was gone, she'd be so sad,
He wanted to replace the china to ease her broken heart,
Cause he felt terribly bad.

There is always something valuble,
That someone cherishes alot,
But things get ruined or broken,
Whether we like it or not,
Homes get broken too,
And families get sad and blue,
Glass tumbles to the floor and breaks,
The same thing happens with heartaches,
A house gets broken,
Sadness and emptiness fill the happy soul,
It breaks you down, and tears you apart,
and send everything spiraling out of control,
Families always have their problems,
And they always have their fights,
Sometimes it seems like it always gets worse,
But one day everything will be alright,
Somewhere in this shattered world,
A sweet love is waiting for you and me,
And one day that love will come back,
To fix all the broken families.

this is sweetly sad, and sadly sweet. and
too often the background in one's life, but
writing of it helps.
