That's my friend, standing there getting soaked in the misty wind on the front of the bow. {looks like that guy on James Cameron's movie} "Hey do that thing again!" I hesitate and then decide in one fell swoop to tick off the fairie's maintainance officers. "AAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" The road to beerville is straight. They call it the south side straightaway. My dad calls it a good way to get killed. I call it fun. I remember one of the other times I was on this road. I heard a voice shout "one sixty!" "was it THE voice?" my aunt asked when the writer was asked to comment on the experience. No. Not yet. Beerville is a fun place to live. They say it's the most drunk per capita place in Canada. I dunno. I've never been drunk there, but I'm told I've looked so giddy that my head was about to pop off. "There's the morons!" A friend said when he pointed to the mormon church. Did I ever tell you that Beerville can be a tad conservative at times? Anyhow, that straight road is quite a wild place. You should go there sometime. Maybe you will have some memories to jot down too? "If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh" |

I'm afraid I'd have to side with your Dad on this one, Frac. My best friend was killed 21 years ago, when he and some of the boys, sans me, tried to outrun the "fairie maintenance officer" on "the road to beerville". The resulting crash on a sharp turn, left a widow and orphan, and the past 20 years of disassociation with his friendship. I also do not feel it's appropriate to publically refer to any religious group in derogatory terms. Sorry, but that's life and fair's fair. Your Friend who cares, coyote |

I understand. I apologize if I seemed to be advocating wreckless driving. As far as ridiculing religious groups, I was not doing so. Rather, I was using the ridicule, which was uttered by a friend of mine, as an example of the conservativism in the area. Of course, perhaps I was also making fun of conservatives. If I have insulted any conservatives out there, I apologize. Thanks for the reply, Coyote. "If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. Although I would not qualify as a conservative, lol. I would say no offense taken, and your explanation is more than an adequate response. I just couldn't let those things go unsaid, as true friends must do. Please continue your writing. Coyote |
