Today would of been his (my cousin) 22nd birthday, but he died in '99 from a fire while sleeping at a friends house one night. Everyone else made it out fine! We were very close as children & went to school together. He died our senior year. I miss him greatly! ~Mark Heltz~ March 18th 1980 - January 18th 1999 I love you Mark, but you had to go away. I'll be mad at God, for not letting you stay. Never really knew you, except when we were small. Why couldn't you be stronger? Why'd God let you fall? We have so many questions, but we'll never know what's true, all that's left are memories, of times we've spent with you. I'm always gonna miss you, & lots of others will. The thought of not seeing you, gives me a chill. When I miss you, I'll look up in the sky, 'cause I know you're an angel, with great wings to fly. So go away now, there's nothing to fear, if lonely, just look down, we'll all be right here! ELMO |

Wow. very touching, a moving tribute to your cousin. don't be mad at God, though, we can't possibly understand His reasons. Remember, whenever you feel depressed or lonely, accept it, and move on. Live, don't just survive. :-) Due to circumstances beyond your control, you are master of your fate and captain of your soul. |

Yes, thank you! Don't worry I am not mad anymore--I believe that everything happens for a reason & noone is to blame, but I think the natural reaction to a loss is anger, & it is a good defensive mechanism if it goes away--I know this sounds dark, but I am taking a college course called the psychology of death & dying--lol--It is really quite interesting & is a big help with dealing, understanding, & just feeling more comfortable about talking about it-- ELMO |
