TRUE LOVE? NEW LOVE?

True love? New love?
Makes me so confused.
One feels right & comfortable.
One's beautiful & new.
One is stable for now,
other asks me back once again.
How can I hurt the new,
when the old is sure to end?
Familiar love habits,
or sweet nothings in my ear?
You think its settled & done with,
but then the path becomes unclear.
Flowers, candy, teddy bears,
or mememories of the past?
Love the way he plays with my hair,
but I want the old to last.
I don't have to hold back now,
he loves me for me.
But it's my dark past,
that he'll never be able to see.
Torn, tortured, teased.
Way too much to deal.
Having lots of fun now,
but the old knows how I really feel.
There was a time I'd do anything,
to be with him once more,
but now I'm hesitating,
for I opened a brand new door.
Only time will tell...
I guess...
Wait it out, I'll try,
for now I stay a mess!

This is a great exploration of one of the more mixed aspects of being human. I know all too well what it is like to move onto new things. It's one of the wierd parts, where you feel excited and at the same time very sad.

Awe aries--I thought the same thing once, but when you think you are at your lowest something great could happen like it did for me--I hope your door to love opens again soon too! {hugz}
