A jealousy pervades my soul through the words of love you write. Why can't I be the one? For the life of me I cannot think of anyone more deserving of your perfect heart Except, of course, in giving back to you. If I knew of the slightest chance of victory I'd fight this battle of hearts Yet the "other" steadfast friend holds a special place inside of you A place the world won't let me go. Am I the silent martyr? Secretly fighting for the cause of you? On the horizon of each morning A renewed hope that this day you shall proclaim me victorious with three simple words. And then I remove my secret armor and live in peace with you |

i can relate to this very much at present. the one that i love is in love with someone else, and it breaks my heart, especially when that someone else doesnt treat them right. i so want to remove the secret armour, and so want to hear those three words. beautifully written, and yet to me, sad but true. |

i've been here... fortunately i have been blessed with a wonderful woman who returns every bit of what i feel for her... sometimes it is necessary to clear out the things that you've held dear before, to make room in your heart for someone new. maybe it's time for that? spring cleaning for the soul. -Dave |
