i've painted all the butterflies black each of them identical in every way seven shades of oily black grace their once gossimar wings that flapped in the breeze, so silent, so carefree i've painted all the butterfiles black no more joy or longing to be beautiful like they were, envious of every vibrant shade all alone now, fluttering in the breeze like a shadow |

this one makes me especially sad--this one expresses keen heartache to me. Well written. There is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar. |

eve, I know this is in Dark Passions, but I think black is beautiful and even if it is sad, it is a beautiful poem. Thanks for sharing, ME |

To me it is much sadder to see the crumpled forms of jewel colored butterflies lieing dead on the ground.Beauty can swiftly pass. paladin |
