On The Mist Of The Ocean's Wind Copyright 2001 Written by James Edward Shields She once sung with the sparrows She once sang to their tune But now she sings in mourning On the mist of the ocean’s wind High up on a cliff top High up above the rocks Forever a dirge she sings On the mist of the ocean’s wind The waves crash like her spirit The waves roar her banshee song Upon the shore so lonely On the mist of the ocean’s wind Her soul is felt in day Her soul is felt in night Especially around the rocks On the mist of the ocean’s wind The clouds look on silent The clouds are joined by the stars This is where she died so lonely On the mist of the ocean’s wind Good cannot exist without evil. Darkness I embrace. |
