The split between us runs deeper than the grave. The lives we live grow colder with each passing day. What will be your life? The fear of imminant death How long will you stay? You've come anew to pull us apart again. And still I wonder how did you get this way? I am a coward My job was to protect you Which failure was worse? "If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh" |

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the ambiguity. It's another poem about my brother. "If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh" |

tough questions you ask yourself... edge to the write that I like..even knowing it is painful in many ways to deal with for you..you give us the edge that goes with the things you feel inside and it allows us as readers to connect... I don't need the specifics to understand the feeling... nicely done |

Cpat: Thanks for the reply. Glad this poem was able to work well that way. "If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh" |
