Sitting there, a quiet place, I can be myself, and drop the face, that I wear for them, who can never see, Exactly who I want to be. The Tree of Sorrow, is my home, And never far from it I roam. Yet there I am my happiest, Sitting there, I'm at my best. I draw inspiration from her roots, And sitting there, explore the truth, And see as very few know how, the world's effect, what happens now. I know not why the tree inspires, As well ask God why we expire, the answer's not for us to know, we must embrace this truth, then go. For every thing must have a source, And it must never stray from its course, else who knows what shall happen then? I think such knowledge beyond our ken. Yet whatever the reason, It matters not, what matters instead is what I have got, for all I write, from this Tree of Pain, comes from that with which I came. The source I know, is inside me too, And each one of us, it now flows through, And I shall not wait, but on the morrow, will go sit beneath my Tree of Sorrow. Due to circumstances beyond your control, you are master of your fate and captain of your soul. - The Angry Bard [This message has been edited by Baroni (edited 11-07-2001).] |

You must have been near the tree of creativity when you wrote this. Very good read. Great style. Great words. JT |

hmmm...this poem just hit the spot for me tonight. I love the thoughts you've expressed, and while exressing such deep thoughts, you manage to maintain a kind of smooth rhythm, which i respect, how you do it is a mystery to me.well done. ammelid Fere libenter homines id quod volunt credunt~Julius Caesar |
