He is gone
The pain, the sorrow
it does not equal the relief
I have my freedom
I have my space and peace of mind

He is gone
With tears in his eyes
he walked away when I asked him too
With a quiet sigh
I whispered "I'm sorry" as he left

He is gone
And now I know why
Why it took so long to ask him to go
I have happiness
But it cost me the love of my life

He is gone
and I wish he would come back

Excellent poem.... Hope you get over the hard times. Remember that freedom always comes with a price..... But usually, it's worth it...

This sounds familiar. In the past I've broken up with someone and afterwards decided I wanted them back. I have always found though, that in going back, I discover the same problems are there and I remember why I left in the first place.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?
