Does he really exist,
this man who touched my heart?
The one who wanders
through my mind,
showing me things
I never dreamed
were possible.
He is the arms
that lift me
when I fall,
the lips
that kiss away
my tears,
the eyes
that watch over me
when I sleep.
He is the man
who comes to me
in my dreams.
He is part of me now
and I love him as such.
Or is he a dream,
a spectre
in my reality?
Someone I created
in my need
to be loved.

I hope he really does exist for you. I hope this dream comes true. Funny, how sometimes somebody takes a piece of our heart, and just won't give it back dammit.

I thought this was really good but where everyone else took it to be longing for a guy, I was thinking more of a questioning the reality of a guardian angel or spirit guide you believe is with you. I may be completly off track as to what you meant but that's one of the cool things about a good poem, everyone gets something different out of it.

I love your interpretation of my poem. It isn't what I was thinking but I can see it in there now you have pointed it out. The man this is for is like a Guardian Angel to me. He looks after me, worries about me and kicks my bum when I need it too.

And I love him dearly (just don't tell him

)
I just don't see him as often as I would like to hence the "does he really exist".

Oh this poem touched home for me..I too once had that same dream. Trust me when I say Dreams do come true..I have Proof!!! Living happily with my Dream Man. He (your Dream) will appear before you when you lest expect it.

I think he exists. If he's in your heart, then he's real. Life just has a way of interfering with these connections. Just keep him in mind.
