(about a Sonnet, not an actual sonnet) Sunlight danced upon your face, stars twinkled in your eyes, your Vesuvian smile was a gift from grace, Marsian lips breathing perfected lies. The moon formed your words anew. Thoughts molded through an Ionian shaper. Your promises somehow went askew, and each line ripped like paper. Joy was a hapless lover, now misery is your only cover. Your words were magic in my ears every promise igniting a new star. You kissed away all the tears, and trapped fear in a ruby jar. Lifted each tone with a genteel hand. Called romance a dying game. You banished my face from your lands, held my head up to meet your shame. Love once, was a blessed thing, now hate is all you bring. Inside the light you lose its edges until pushed |
