"Their's are green, our's are green, we will all be green together" -Abraham Lincoln I know now the war is endless since the sons of the apple eater Through the Mayan end of 2012 all these wearying battles are repeated young, I headstrong sought to slay dragons which multiply much faster than we But we all multiply together, and so the din becomes maddening, constant, commonplace. In close proximity we callous to the numbers. Cain slew Abel was headlines for years, 100,000 Ruwandans and we can't even look up from our cereal unless interrupted by a new commercial. Abraham almost slays his son and we teach it's righteous lesson, another whacko hears a voice too, kills his whole family, we move on. A thief and murderer is hung like a scarecrow next to Jesus, he gets heaven, Another government (texas) kills hundreds yearly, Jesus' lesson grows scarce. Soon we'll step over the bodies and re-adjust our nursery rhymes, next will be the stench and our clever unspoken masking. I've had dogs with more loyalty, cats with more affection. Our hate is as subtle as a fart in church, our outrage as quiet as a rat peein' on cotton. [This message has been edited by RSWells (edited 08-25-2001).] |

Our hate is as subtle as a fart in church, our outrage as quiet as a rat peein' on cotton. There is a song that ends "man kills everything" I fear it may be true. Maybe we have lying to ourselves all this time, maybe we are murderers at heart. It is sad to think that our history our nations are build not just on the sweat of hard larbour but bloodshed. Much to think about. enjoyed the read. |

Obviously well thought out. It makes one think. Unlike the other replies, however, I disagree with the point. I applaud your thought provoking prose, though. |

It's a crazy world my friend. Loved the last paragraph, seems to me to sum it all up perfectly. Isis *The greatest warrior is one that does not need to fight* ~Isis~ |
