The sun shines brightly overhead But I feel no warmth above The robins softly sing their song But I hear no song of love Not a cloud in the blue sky yet I am covered in darkness watching happiness on every face my life seeming more hopeless lovers in soft embrace enjoying their life so dear watching with sad and lonely eyes slowly dying with each passing year within my sorrowed breast my love for her shall always grow but even though she's in my life happiness never seems to show I may never know why My life slowly meets its destruction Trying desperately to heal my wounds Seeking for my soul's redemption Alone and forgotten in this dank pit A dungeon made just for me Depression slowly taking hold it will never let me be The voices inside punishing me Torturing through and through "worthless coward… live always knowing… for death is too good for you" I know the love I hold of her is true And her love for me as well But the pain and agony haunt me so This torment, I may never quell My strength disappearing As the end of my war draws near Her love holds me together As I'm torn apart by fear I pray this inner war ends soon Because now I want no part I wish for no more anguish And pain for my shattered heart Even though I'm not a good man No matter what others may say My life has shown me otherwise And hasn't changed to this day So fare thee well my friends As I must leave this hallowed ground Anger and sadness beckon me onward To search for happiness not found Fear destroys the mind, depression destroys the soul... only love and compassion may save you from death. |

Depression is a terrible illness that I have been through. I only hope that you have enough love and support around you to get you through. Please take care......Sue Suetang |
