I seeked solace in the warmth Of your swaying wings even Though you--unknowingly expectant--chose To fold them in behalf Of your bethrothed. Will I then, now lost, decide As well to take my Own dreams and paint them In someone else's canvass? Take then my crimsoned promises And mold them as one While the candle-lit hour slowly, But inevitably arrives amidst my Silent Lamentations. |
