The night is getting late, everyone is sleeping, except for me, because I'm forever with out you.
I'm sure you're sleeping too, never caring about anything that has to do with me.
And why would you? I was nothing, as far as I could see.
And if you change your mind, I'll remind you what you did to me.
I'll remember all the days I hoped you'd change your mind.
I never thought that I'd change mine.
I'll remind you that my heart doesn't want to turn back.
As much as I want it to, I couldn't do that to myself, not again.
Because I fear that I'd do something wrong, not once, but twice.
And I couldn't return to my life knowing that I was a failure, in all that I've ever cared about.
I dream each night, actually, I lie awake remembering the past.
Someone once told me, "I don't live in the past."
A friend actually, and I said, why not?
And I kept on living in the past.
And i've learned why not.
Because if you live in the past, you can't move forward.
And your future lies restless.
And now, I'm scared of giving up too easily, and never feeling the way I feel when I'm with you, again.
So you tell me what to do...don't leave me here alone...don't get me wrong I love you,
and probably always will.
But I'm scared to admit,
I'll always be without you....
