I figured I would use this post to introduce myself, I am 17 years old, male, I live in canada. I love the idea of these forums, I think I am going to like it here. Hopefully I will get a picture of myself up soon. I just wrote this one tonight, hope you like it. "Few and Far Between" Every waking second pounds in my head like a migraine you cant rid yourself of... My life rushes towards me flying at moch speed only breaking now and then... I am dictated by time forever aging, ever dying I grow older as I write this to think this minute will never happen again... Experiences are everything Memories are tenfold more When time seems to stop and I know that always I will hold this minute in my mind I will take it to my grave Although few and far between these are the moments I live for... and i'm certain that if i drive into those trees, it would make less of a mess, than she's made of me... |

I'm so glad that you like Passions so much! This is a wonderfully written piece of dark poetry. We all have times like this, but I hope you find those "moments worth living for" more frequently in the future! Thanks for posting. Oooh... very VERY excellent poem. I love what you did here. "I am dictated by time forever aging, ever dying I grow older as I write this to think this minute will never happen again..." What a great thought... it is difficult to mention in a poem that you are writing a poem without it sounding cheesy. But you did it, man! I actually had to stop and ponder after reading this. Great job. -Allan We used to hate people, now we just make fun of them. It's more effective that way. --KMFDM |

"I am dictated by time forever aging, ever dying I grow older as I write this to think this minute will never happen again..." That was a great part, and allan already quoted it, but I decided what the heck, why not do it again. This poem was written well, it makes the reader stop and think, reflecting on their own lives. That' s what it did for me anyway. I like it, good job and I hope you stay here a long time to enjoy everything "Disagreements stimulate thought, thought stimulates action, and action stimulates life." --Lakewalker http://www.thehungersite.com |
