I used to live for your addiction Denied inside my own affliction Fooled myself into believing There was love in your deceiving I used to live for your surrender Now my love’s returned to sender My problems I could not address A victim of my own distress I used to live with eyes closed tight I used to sleep with ease at night I used to love the lie we had I used to live… but life is sad |

Wonderful poem Kevin!!! This is a very sad poem if i may say so, but i don't believe life is "truly" sad. I only believe that at sometimes in your life. Things go wrong, and you dont believe you can get back up again, but once you find the will to fight, you will fly above those clouds who have rained on you for years. Rise above my friend, and you may realize life is happier if you learn to find the will to get back up and fly. ~"Amanda"~ What comes with love are tears of pain. This poem rocks. It reminds me of Allan's poem "warm" To truely live, we need love, and it becomes so easy to lie to ourselves... to create a false life. Nice work kevin ~Jason |
