On January 27, 2001 an Oklahoma State plane crashed in Colorado after a game. I'm not really a fan of OSU but I still felt saddened by this and I felt inspired! It was such a pretty night Freashly fallen snow so bright Why did it have to turn into an ugly, horrible sight? As the plane crashed down the flames lit up lighting up the snowy field No one would know that there was something wrong until it was too late Back in OKC two planes landed But where was the third? People waited for hours on end But ten people never returned Word was sent that a plane went down not far from an Colorado airport A shock went through the state No,that can't be the third But everyone knew the truth Ten people were forever lost But who were those people Oklahoma wanted to know Who were the people who spent their life trying to make Oklahoma great? Hours went by with no word But finally we were reached They were people that we loved and people that died too soon These people will be forever loved and shall never be forgotten We all know you will find a place in Heaven and watch over us Umm...I know the ending wasn't very good but I couldn't think of anything better but this poem truly comes from the heart! *~*Hope is a walking dream*~* *~*Don't take life too seriosly~~~you'll never get out alive*~* |

How tragic... we don't recieve much American news up here, and even if we did I don't get out enough to know about it. You captured your emotions well, and created an excellent tribute. Couldn't have done it better myself. -Allan Would you really want everything that you thrive for, if you could never appreciate it? |

Ya know...I still haven't finished writing my poem! But I guess its a lil late now!! I still feel bad about it tho. But don't you think the thing the Blazers were doing was really nice??? I wanna go to the game!!! They will all be missed by everyone, and will be in our hearts forever. And you havbe expressed that really well...great poem! Much Luv, ~*~P*R*I*S*C*I*L*L*A~*~ How come it is so easy for a person to say "I hate you," but it is so difficult for someone to say "I love you" and really mean it???? |

This is such a sad poem. In the 70's, the airplane holding the Marshall University football team and many prominant members of the community crashed outside of Huntington WV. This reminds me of that crash. This is a beautiful tribute. Thanks for sharing. It is nice to know that there are people out there that open their hearts and care for other people's tragedy. You've shown that you do have a most beautiful and caring heart. I see no changes, wake up in the morning I ask myself, "Is life worth living or should I blast myself" TUPAC SHAKUR |
