I'm going poetry crazy today!! I guess that women who murdered her 5 children is really getting me into this crazy mood, I'm irate with anger!! A lot has been lost, But most has been gained. 4 years of your life, it will never be the same. Graduated with honors, top of your class, never had a problem. Well, no one ever asked. Never knew about the abuse, the hell at which you hold, all inside yourself stuff nobody knows. People never believed it could happen to their own It's hard to understand You can't even be safe at home. *×´¨`·.×*Raven Skye*×´¨`·.×* |

I don't have kids, but I have friends who have been abused so I just look at that and it bothers me. But for a women, a mother, to take her children's lives!! I mean okay they are blaming on her "depression" and yes I understand completely how she could have felt but when I'm depressed I can never think of taking someone's life. Something seriously had to be wrong in that lady's head!! I mean it's not like it was only one child, it was all 5!! Oh it makes me sick. It really does. Society as a whole disgusts me. *×´¨`·.×*Raven Skye*×´¨`·.×* |

It makes you wonder....if she had been depressed for 2 years...why on God's green earth did she have more babies?! and yes, it's the saddest thing.....parents are supposed to protect their babies....not hurt them..... |

I heard about that woman too. I cannot imagine how the father must feel knowing that if he had been there, it wouldnt have happened. Not that its his fault or anything, but many people end up feeling that way about those events. Anyways, great poem! *~*Amanda*~* |

The first time I heard about that was tonight. I was, to say the least, appalled. I can't believe that a woman could hurt cildren at all, much less her own. It really makes you think what things have come to these days when you can't watch the news without them announcing come kind of violence or killing that happened that day. It's sickening. Very nice poem. The whole flow of the poem was relaly nice, it didn't break at all, and the rhyme scheme was pretty good. Nice work. I enjoyed this read, and I liked the message. --Marie "Well the sun is slowly sinking down, but the moon is slowly rising... so this old world must still be spinning 'round. And I still love you." -James |

Your poem is great! The topic you wrote about is certainly fresh in most of our minds now...high school coming to a close... but i get to add to the venting frustration of the group here. There is no way to condone that kind of violence, referring to parent-child. I've had a hard time controlling my reaction to this, but it does need to be noted that depression cannot be blamed for something of such significance. Such an action is so thoroughly against natural impulses that something other than "depression" is certainly at work. I would hazard something more along the lines of bi-polarity, dementia, or full-blown insanity first, but again, all we see is the plea bargain side of what is really wrong. This is such a tragic event, but i hope it changes some opinions in the fields of mental illness. Namely, this woman's doctors had recently changed her prescription, largely a guess-and-check venture. Consequences. I really liked this one. Seems like all the adive that could have been given was....just keep yer head up....yer heart is a big one, and you'll pull through I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |
