When wandr'ing minds embrace the shores of lands Both distant and bizzare, they come to know The ecstasy of inner worlds, like sands Upon a beach away from worlds so low. Let those creative minds release the locks Of worlds of boring ways and tireless flow Of foolish pride and silly pointless flocks, Upon a beach away from worlds so low. Come stand with me on this creative shore And see the awe and beauty to bestow Upon the canvas of the mind, the door Upon a beach away from worlds so low. So come and take that step into the lands Both distant and bizzare, and come to know The ecstasy of inner worlds, like sands Upon a beach away from worlds so low. The image of a beach far away from any of the known world has been something that has often engendered a great deal of ecstatic feelings with me. And so I felt it only appropriate to include it in a poem on the joys of writing. BTW, the third and fourth stanzas aren't really addressed to anyone in particular, but are rather invitations to the reader to enter into the world of writing and creativity. "If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh" |

I thought the imagery of a beach that you gave was nice. I really liked your idea of having a beach in a far off place.....like an unknown planet maybe......well done. i liked it a lot! I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |
