Nice guys finish last,
I never knew the true meaning of this
until it bit me in the ass.

I fell for a girl,
A special person in this world.
To her I was kind
With thoughts of her on my mind.
I was there when her heart would weep,
And those words echoed in my sleep.
She is this the best I have ever known,
To me, her wonderfully imperfect beauty has been shown.

Yet, it seems as if I don’t exist.
To her, my image is just a mist.
When she needs someone to listen,
I am there with my quiet whisper,
But then when it is all over and done
It seems that we never have fun.

What do I feel?
Could it be love?
I am too young to play with that danger,
However, her comforting words always soothe my anger.

I am afraid some nights
That it won’t all be right
And, I hope in the end
That she and I will be friends
Though, she might not be the one
That for a lifetime, I would have fun.

So here’s the truth
It’s sad, not new.
That nice guys finish last.

wow this was great..

...i loved the way you wrote it..the whole flow of the poem rocked!!!....awwwwww..and if this is about you...know that there is going to be a time and place when you will know for certain that nice guys DONT finish last..they finish on top

Ok, the nice guys don't always finish last.
Secondly you seem to be experiencing quite alot of pain over this girl. Sometimes being friends is so much better than being an item. Keep your head up.

I can TOTALLY relate to this. Good poem! I know exactly how it feels, and it sucks... Anyway, I ejoyed the poem, and it's going to my library.

Dude so totally true and you know why the nice guys finish last it's cause they know that were nice and we won't be jerks if they walk all over us. Oh well. peace nice poem too.
