Lies in Twine

Everybody tells a different story
When they're caught
They lie and say that they are sorry
If I was to refuse
My trust they abuse
And lies overuse
And just melt into another
To confuse

It's all the same
Every day the same
Dare to bleed a difference
Into a stream of infractures
To cure the soul as a whole
And leave me far behind

You too lie
It's not what I believe
Things you tell me
Never happen in fantasy
The heaviness of reality settles in
As pebbles on Dover Beach washed
Again  Again  Again
Truth set in by tides beating relentlessly
The tides rise above me
I let it
I let them fill my lungs of eye offending brine
To disconcern my heart
Whose wisdom need not in a world
Devoit of romanticism
But plagued by Realism

It is THIS I want to escape
       I                                     help me

"The heart can think of no devotion
Greater than being shore to ocean
Holding the curve of one position
Counting an endless repetition"
Robert Fr

This was very well done. I liked this one a lot. The ending really hit me.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

"The heaviness of reality settles in"

Reality is the most annoying thing in the world. More annoying that pigeons waking you up on a Sunday morning.
Your piece spoke alot of truth that was very easy to connect with.

Thanks for the read.
