Everyone has heard it,
At least once or twice
I have heard it more and more,
Once, and twice, then thrice

Those soft words of rejection
That no one wants to hear
Something takes the one we love
Leaving us to leer

I’ve heard those words seven times
And know I’ll hear them more
Those words I dread, those words I hate,
Those words that make my heart so sore.

Let us just be friends, they say,
While my heart tears and bends,
If only I could find someone
That wants to be more than friends.

"No one holds command over me.
No man.
No god.
No prince."

i like this poem..and eww i hate those words too, but i think in this poem you kinda pulled those ryhmes outta no where..which kinda throws off the flow a little..anyways good job tho!
