~*~this is my take on one of my set GCSE poems called Lullaby by Rosemary Norman. I chose to do this mainly cos my mum's name's Rosie too so this is her lullaby and i hope you like it!~*~

Go to sleep mum, Emily's
fine, i can hear
her breathing

Go to sleep PLEASE, you
turned off the gas and
Daisy's safe with me

Mum, I won't get crushed
in the moshpit or take
the wrong train home
to you

I won't cry when daddy
goes away, you're here
and that's all
that matters now

Sleep Mum, sleep.
I won't get in a dodgy taxi,
go home with strangers or
get in a car with someone
who's drunk.

No I won't
be rude and obnoxious
not to you, my mum.

I won't take drugs
I'll do well in my GCSEs
I won't go out with
Ben again, I'll quit
work all by myself, you
need to go to sleep mummy.

And I'll never forget
to return your CDs/
not to leave lit candles/to
wash up daisy's bowls but....

Can you turn out the
bathroom light for me?

~*~the worryings of my mother people!! Give it up for Rosie!!~*~

Go rosie!
Yeah well nice poem, I have to say I like the way you addressed your mother, and I really like "can you turn out the bathroom light for me?"  Really, really well worded.
Great work.
