Again..don't ask me what it means I just wrote the thing.

I can poison you
with my thoughts
with my intent
the fear will ensue

after I poison you
with my twisted dreams
and polished nightmares
there is nothing you can do

you see I've done it before
using my pains
and sadness
go ahead open the door

I'me behind it
waiting in my nest
waiting to infest
slowly taking just a little bit

I'll bring you here
with my frightful visions
and numbing illusions
you'll feel the fear

the fear thats already there
I didn't bring it
just revealed it
run if you dare

hide under your sheets
pretend your safe
close your eyes to all the evil
just outside it waits

waiting for you
to start to shake
and drip with sweat
the fear you never knew

I poison you with fears
brought you to a new world
a world of pain and regret
don't worry I'll save your tears

mix them with mine
because I'm there too
brought here because of you
on eachother we shall dine

as we lay here and rot
slipping into eternity
still consumed by fear
now the pain is all we've got

the short lines made the flow really good and i liked a lot of the images that you presented in this piece.  this poem kinda reminded me of enter sandman by metallica so that was good times.  anyway, great job on this, i always like reading your work.

Wow.. this is one of the best posts I've seen from you, POA.  VERY nicely done!  The images made this piece very powerful.  Nice work!

This one was awesome. I really liked it. Very dark, and twisted - I love that in a poem. Badass!

To be honest, I don't know that much about poetry- but I know what I like. And I think, so far, this is probably my favorite of all the poems I have read here. I love it. It's wonderful!

This was a great write but one thing bothers me....Why would you want to hurt others, even if it's psychological/mental?  I don't get it.....Well, good post anyways

Just for acire's concerns to be put to rest. I don't want to hurt others. The "I" in the poem isn't me. Granted all poems are an extension of the writer, that doesn't mean that the man who made 'nightmare on Elm St.' wants to have those things actually happen to people. I guess you could say this is just the darker side of my imagination. But thats all it is, imagination. Anyways I'm glad you and the other liked my poem.
