Trees whirl by my window,
blurred by hurried passage
over too many lonely miles.

Held by silent tears,
threatening the corners of my eyes.

I lose myself in miles
that i strive to keep from passing.

Your taste still graces my lips,
lingering to torture my senses.
The memory of your gentil touch,
still sets my blood on fire.

But your fingers are long absent,
yearning pulls the strands of my soul.

There is only the window,
the green blur of the trees,
and the steady ache of my heart.

My eyes are finally overwhelmed,
and i give in to the tears,
and the salty taste of emptiness.

Sometimes, the things that go unsaid are the only things worth hearing.

Wow this is so sad. I love how you said that emptiness tastes like salt....obviously due to the tears. Anyhow, I just loved that.
Well done!

This was beautiful babe.  You know I loved it.
I'm home now   Yay!  Home is where the heart is
I missed everyone too!  Especially you, love.  *kiss*
Very well written poem.. As always, it touched me.

Okay, okay, I'm replying. I like this - the first line is a very striking image. Run a spell check, dear. And don't forget: you don't need commas at the end of every line! But I like muchly. Lots of emotion.

Don't yell at me. You asked for it.

i surely can identify with the "emptiness"! this was really prolific; it seemed like you delved deep with this one. the flow was kinda awkward, but other than that, i enjoyed it.

Man this is good. The last line topped it for me. It's going in my library. Great job.
