Can I fall in love with my best friend?
Is it wrong? Is it the end?
I know what I'm feeling is probably wrong
But I need you now to hold me.

Sure you've got a girlfriend
I know you love her so.
But is it to much to ask for you to love me too?

You love me as a friend,
Like I do too.
But I wanna love you more than that
I wanna be your girlfriend.
I wrote this after I told my best friend I loved him. I convinced myself for a while that it was just b/c we were together 24/7 that I liked him. Then I felt like I was losing him to her nad I fell in love again.

I'm open to critizime but be nice!!!

Well as to the sitch... it stinks. It is possible to be in love with a close friend... but it's not really cool.
It can really wreck the friendship.
On the other hand, I hear some of the best relationships stem from friendships.
So... I guess it all depends.
As to the poem itself, I believed it came from the heart, and was overall written well.
Good luck with everything.

i liked the poem and i thought you expressed yourself well but i really wanted to comment on the situation. the sitation is one of the hardest to be in because even though relationships can turn out really good when you date one of your best friends, you are constantly in danger of losing the friendship. if the situation works out and the two of you end up together be really careful and make sure that you stay friends no matter what. i was best friends with a girl for five years and now we barely talk because of the relationship we had. sorry this is so long, good luck with everything.

Sometimes, the things that go unsaid are the only things worth hearing.

The situation sucks....the way you expressed yourself was out there and to the point. Not bad at all! Quite enjoyable. I liked the poem, and hope your situation improves.
My advice....unrequited love sucks, but if you do love him then you care about his happiness and if he's happy with her then you surely must respect that

this is a very sticky finger situation. You can fall in love with your bestfriend, i did....but he does have a g/f and he loves her... as u said.

yea it can be hard to fall in love with your best friend just cuz if it doesnt work out at all you may have lost two things the greatest friend in your life and a gf/bf but i can tell you it doesnt always go to crapage i fell in love with my best friend ever i love her dearly she is the world to me and i know that if it doesnt work out i will cry but she has made me the happiest man in the world but i pray it does work out and i think it will i love you tiffany with ever fiber of my being *kisses*

good luck. i believe we all have a right to pursue our own happiness but beware of hurting your best friend's girlfriend meanwhile....

I think the poem was wonderful and as for the situation I think it’s a kind of mix because if you love someone truly love someone it always is your best friend I believe and if your best friend becomes your boyfriend/girlfriend then nothing has really changes except now your closer. But then again if you break up then it could drag you apart… I don’t know. You have to tell me what happens (happened). Until your next poem

let me teel you...speaking from 1st hand experience...liking your best friend is a huge mistake...i had the best guy friend a girl could ask for..he asked me out,, i siad yes, things got weird, we broke up..and now we dont speak..learn form my mistake and think about this a little more....

YES!!!!!!!!! you can definately fall in love with your best friend, i have done it and i am STILL in Love...as a matter of fact today is our 3 month anniversary LoL I had a sorta kinda similar situation as you but he wasnt going out w/her...he was just in love from a distance kinda thing w/her...but i wrote about this constantly (you can check in my old poems) but for me it turned out great but i wouldnt neccissarily recommend it because we sorta lost the friendship part of us and gained a whole lotta jealousy..but i guess it all depends on what your willing to risk...I hope everything works out for you
