I know I ain't been around, but you know how hectic life gets.  Anyway how is this for an entrance?

As the sun goes down
over the waters edge.
I watch the ripples
as they spread across the lake.

The sky has darkened
and the stars shine brightly.
I sit here alone...thinking,
but I am not alone
for your memory lingers.

Floating through the breeze
your scent fills me whole.
The vision of your smile
lights up my soul.

I see your face
at the waters edge.
I reach to touch you
my heart filled with joy.

As I touch your face
it disappears.
My heart is saddened
it was just a REFLECTION.

Hey I liked this.....very well done. Sad that it was only a reflection and not a reality. I really thought you did well on this poem.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

What a twist on the ending!  Great job, it caught me completely off guard.

This one was so full of emotion and it gave me that tingly feeling in my heart.  I like it alot, it's going in my library.  Don't you love the way how it can acutually feel like someone is with you even when they are not?  Good job.

Yea I do.  I have it quite often.  I also love the way you can never meet a person, but become really close with them and feel like you've been friends forever.  That's how I feel when I put my poetry on here.  Evryone is so nice.  Anyway,  before I blubber some more.  Thanx for being so kind.

Chic,
I too love the feeling of knowing someone so well when you've never even met them, like clicking right away?  It's great.  Anyways, hope to see more stuff from you.

Well I don't get inspired very easily and not very often.  I guess I have permanent writer's block.  OUI VEY!!!
