Somewhere, between here and there

Before me you stand, pale and bearing empty hands-
White cloth spread across the table, I lay you down
Fair yellow hair, all tangled in your thorny crown
Surrounded softly in candlelight, I stood there all night,
Watching you sleep, deeply dreaming of better tomorrows
Sleep now, let slumber carry away your sorrows

I woke upon the dawn, and the ‘morrow sang a sour song
In my ears rang all my fears brought to life; so long-
My angel of the operating room…Goodbye my angel of the operating room
Hello my friend, gloom.

Spreading insanity, one post at a time

My skull has glowing green eyes

This is very interesting.. it really made me sit back and really think about it.. even read it a few times over again.  I really liked the ending.. very different.
Nice job!  I enjoyed the read.

Not bad at all!  I like the idea "angel on the operating table."  Very sad.
Great work though.
