Is there life when love ceases to live? Is there life when the love of another isn't there? Is there life when your soul and heart both die? Tell me, is there life after love? Is there life when your love you can't give? Is there life when you lose your compassion and can't care? Is there life when your dreams stand still and aren't able to fly? Tell me, is there life after love? Is there life when all your desires' fires cease to be lit? Is there life when your thoughts and feelings are way too rare? Is there life when your decisions you can't decide? Tell me, is there life after love? Is there life when love seems not to exist? Is there life when the pain from love you can't seem to bear? Is there life when your and another's love can't find their way and never unite? Won't someone please just tell me, is there life after love? same-sex couples are like kama sutra - beautiful but misunderstood! |

Painful...deep...meaningful..aggressive...desperate...very good poem. And from a girl who speaks from a lot of experience....yes. Nature, time, and patience are the best physicians. (understanding helps too) I like your little quote by the way. [This message has been edited by Dark Enchantress (edited 04-15-2001).] |

This is a very expressive poem.. filled with pain. I loved it. And to answer the question: Yes, there is life after love. The challenge is finding it. Excellent job. --Marie subconsciously, i think i can eat so much to make my stomach hurt, instead of my heart. |

Ditto to Marie, and the poem was pretty good. But a bit dragged out. ~Allan Build a man a fire, and he's warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life. |

Great job on this poem. Some good thoughts here......I believe there is.....after the internal death, that is. I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |
