Sadistic fairy on my shoulder,
Saying, "Girl have you ever thought of
turning over the ashtray
and giving some new wheels a spin?"
But I just sing to myself
to avoid my agreeing shrug
She says, "Ain't it kind of funny
how you spend your whole life
wanting to fit in with everyone else
only to find that you can't.
And when you finally accept that you're odd,
you realize that
you're really not different at all."
Looking back on my life,
I know how true that is
"Yeah so I'm bisexual
and I don't believe in any god.
I laugh at people
when they stare at me as I walk.
But we're only excluded
because we make it so,"
Laughing at myself thinking
that there's also some people
that you just have to dislike or even hate.
Then she says, "You keep walking, girl.
Walking to hide from yourself."
"No, your wrong," I said smiling,
"I never walk to hide, but to find."

I had a dream once that I could fly and I laughed at everyone and kicked them in the back of the head because they couldn't fly too.

I could relate to this one a lot.  It's good that you are willing to accept these things about yourself, and let the whole world know them.  Laughing at those who give you odd looks is an approach that I take often.
The last line is very good, the sentiments are excellent.  Well done, Jaime.

It's too bad I'm not as wonderful a person as people say I am, because the world could use a few people like that.

I've learned that even when you

Great job. I liked this one.  Thought you did well. Very good message within the poem.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

And when you finally accept that you're odd,
you realize that
you're really not different at all."

In your poems, as in our chats, the truths that come up to the sruface and say "see me you [edit] idiot... pay attention!" are always good to do so with.

"No, your wrong," I said smiling,
"I never walk to hide, but to find."

I could be you here, you could be me here... oh wait... hmm... you could be you... hmmm... you are you. Basically, I could be you in these lines.

Saying, "Girl have you ever thought of
turning over the ashtray
and giving some new wheels a spin?"

What do you mean by these lines?

Sincerely,

Ahh this is fantastic. I love the message behind this. People are idiots. They have been since the dawn of time and will continue to be so. I could relate to this 100%.

You write so well, Jaime. Very impressed here.
