“Loss”

Drained of emotion
Of my hearts desire
Death came along
And in those waters extinguished my fires

Living life in an empty shell
Watching those around me, those who can feel
Knowing I’m not like them
With these wounds I cannot heal

Wandering around
Lost in this place
All those that  look my way
See nothing but a blank face

Learning to copy
To fake what I see
To fool those who care the most
So that they don’t worry about me

Searching my vacant soul
With each new person I meet
For the one to help me feel once more
But alas only one I knew could ever achieve this feat

She did, but she’s gone
Like the pettle of a flower upon the wind
I will continue to search for you
For always and forever until my lifes end

It's too bad I'm not as wonderful a person as people say I am, because the world could use a few people like that.

I've learned that even when you

Good job, the ending was very refreshing.

I liked this.
Thought you did quite well.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

This is really sad, but you wrote it extremely well and I enjoyed it alot.  It's going to my library.  Good work.
