OK, I wrote this in about 20 min. It isn't very good. But something very painful happened last night with someone I really care about.This may be in bad form or look like jumbled words, but please take the time to read and respond cause I really, really need it.Thanx I lost a good friend today How it happened I cannot say But she was a best friend in almost every way People change over time, probably less her and more me Don’t know how to get back to the way we were, so I guess I’ll let it be Hope fate will play a part, but only in time we’ll see Painful words were spoken Certain hearts were broken But there’s still a chance, together we left that door open I couldn’t close it cause there’s still love in my heart It’s not just something I can tuck away, cause it’s been there from the start That’s what makes it so much harder for me to see us part There were deceptions and there were lies Did not know who I was looking at when I looked into her eyes It wasn’t her, just her changes that I came to despise She tells me I’ve lost all respect All things considered, what else did she expect But knowing me I was too harsh and way too damn direct I know at times I am a total jerk I have pissed and moaned and complained about her every little quirk But this time I don’t know if we can ever make things work I tried my hardest and put her on a throne In return she up and left and left me all alone And yet she wonders why my heart has gone and turned to stone 14 months I’ve known you For 8 of those I’ve been blue And for the rest of my life I will wonder if you could ever stay true I’ve dealt with your commands And met all your demands But this time I don’t know what to do, so I’ll lay it in God’s hands "Your anger is a gift"-Rage Against The Machine |
