There was once a time
when me and Billy sang
on the back of the bus
old songs from the 60's
and threw jelly beans
at the driver
and hid behind our seats
when he turned around
It was obviously us...
we laughed so hard

Ride our bikes
up to 7-11
and buy a chocolate cake
brought it to the baseball fields
and ate it with our hands
Whatever we didn't eat
ended up in each other's face
Mom hated it when I did that
"Crazy girl", she'd say
Simply crazy

Billy moved to Florida
and mailed me post cards of Mickey
We'd call each other
and sing the same old songs
I danced around in my underwear
and wondered if I'd ever
get to see him dance again

"I'm dancin', Fox, dancin' still."

In the summer of 96
was when I spoke to him last
Sweet Billy drifted away

I hope he's dancing still

Back in 97 we burned our own souls in the midst of poverty. Never learned how to keep anything clean.

Thanks a lot you guys! I already feel so welcome here. I wasn't sure if you'd like this one. I write about the past a lot because I did a lot of wacky stuff.

Thanks again!
