Sunshine and ocean breeze, Walking, waiting, notice me? I search for you, where are you now? I have come, For you, For you are the one, I see you there on the ocean waves, I am scared, But you’re so brave, Wait, I’ll follow you to where ever you go, Wait a moment, For I am slow My shoes, my socks, and all my clothing, I’ll take them off, But it’s so cold, Will you hold me? Keep me warm, For it is dark and lonely without you, I am coming, No I’m not, You’re so far, Are you moving further away? Or am I standing here all dazed? I don’t know what’s happening, I am sinking in the sand, The water flows past my knees, I am freezing, Cannot breathe, The water’s moving, Or is it me? Am I closer? I cannot see, My vision’s gone, The salt is blinding me, Where are you now? Talk to me, I need to hear you, Speak carefully, You sound so faint, Can it be? You are not there, You are gone, And my heart is empty. |

I have to comment on something... I really admire how you organized the lines in this poem. Some lines were much more effective as they stood alone. Like "wait" and "wait a moment." I really like how you used these two lines, the way they are different shows some sort of impatience in the narrator's tone. Very well done on this. Oh and as Carly said, empty hearts are not cool.
