I wonder how many of you have ever told someone you love them and not meant it but said only to reply to those words yourself or just felt a sudden rush of emotion that you percieve as Love but actually mis-read it. I wonder how many of you would admit you have, or do you consider yourself to be "perfect" and would never make such a mistake. Well think again....... ---------------------------------------------------- Wake up to the sun Shining brightly in the dawning After hearing the birds songs Whistling sweetly in the morning. Last few days have caused me pain Made me suffer, drove me insane At least I rose to the sun And not the rain, yet again My selfishness in Love Weighed me down with heartache But taught me a lesson To not percieve Love as fake. I recently met this girl That I have needed for so long Who will lift the weight off my heart And correct all I have done wrong. I snook off from my house Met up with her at midnight Cuddled and danced with her In the guidance of the moonlight. I fell in Love with her that night With the stars shining bright At least i didn't cheat Love As now I rise to the sunlight. Nobody is perfect When Love is Concerned You have to really mean it Or else what have we learned!!! |

I agree with you........What would have we learned if we just lied about something so powerful? Anyway, we'd only be cheating ourselves and our partner.... I thought the poem was great, and I do admit I've done it....I suck I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |

Well, I don't think I've ever said it when I didn't truely felt it on purpose if that makes any sense... I've said it because he's said it and I 'thought' I was in love - does that count? I've also said it because I thought it would fix everything and I've also said it because there was nothing else to say, we'd come to the end and I thought that saying would make everything new. As I am currently single, it didn't work. I liked the poem though, very real. As the song goes "Saying I love you is not the words I want to hear from you, it's not that I don't want you, not to say it but if you only knew, how easy, it would be to show me how you feel, more than words, is all you heave to do to make it real, then you wouldn't have to say, that you love me, 'cause I'd already know, what would you say if I took those away, then you couldn't make things new, just by saying I love you." |

Hmm... I'll admit I've done it, but not in a long time. But I will say that it's possible to fall both in and out of love, isn't it? When we say "I love you" to someone and it is real, and then everything turns out wrong and it ends, can it be considered an act of cowardice to deny that it ever really was love? To say "oh, it wasn't really love" just because it is now over? I think that it is important to be able to say that we have lied about this kind of thing, but under the right circumstances. It shouldn't be used as a form of pride conservation. Oh, and I liked the poem. ~Allan The sun was born, so it shall die. ~VNV Nation, "Further" |
