Masks of love and hate Hide empty faces Fleeing from their twisted fate Blank emotionless faces See the masks of life Shrouding the faces Showing no knowledge of strife Clouding their unfeeling faces Living masks of fake emotions See their faces They have no real devotions There are no faces The fakery, warm masks of love They have no face Using their masks like a glove Call them the human race No real faces of their own To find themselves they take from others The only thing real is the hate that’s been sewn To get what they want they’ll kill their mothers Can’t you see their soulless souls? They’re all blind They can’t see the fear in their goals Answers to questions they’ll never find Running from the fear Into the hate As they begin to tear They finally realize it’s too late >¶Øʆ< |

Outstanding! Simply amazing! I had forgotten that you were such an amazing poet, Tony. Suppose it has been long since I read your work. This was a great reminder. It goes to the library, and I go off to read "Tree." ~Allan If I had your eyes, I'd be blind. For I can only see out of my own. ~~Carly Van Dort |

Nicely done here. I thought you had some great thoughts within the poem. I enjoyed it. I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I'm in love with my shadow I admire it daily |

Hey, Yet another excellent poem and superb example of your talent. I really enjoy reading your work and hope that you will continue to post daily. Until your next masterpiece. -- Linc "The goal is not allways the the reason something is done the path to get to the goal is more important." |
