Perhaps today, you hold me in the palm of your hand. You have known my lips that speak desire, hands that gently press their want. Yesterday you held my secrets, claimed my heart. I danced at your feet, shadowed your night beyond the walls of darkness. Perhaps you sigh for the moments I am away from you. Do you ever sleep with dreams of me? Perhaps feel my presence when the moon outshines the glistening stars? For I am the tide that floats 'cross the sky, that reaches to lay upon you, my glow. Perhaps You dare to know me: For I am sorrow unmasked. I am your heart that leaks loneliness. I am love's plot living from day to day, seeping moment to moment, into your heart. Perhaps I am the tendering of your night, delivering to you, each new dawn. For you, I am all of these... Perhaps. ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II |
