In the boudoir of my heart < !signature-->burns a magnolia candle bright melting, burning upon branches of moonlight Silhouettes waltz upon a satin wall of dreams a man in a black tuxedo I in a gown.. gossamer flowing like a stream Cyan eyes watch in the mirror reflect each graceful move long ebony hair flows over my shoulder loose each tender kiss sweet as chocolate mousse Each step is a step closer to hearts bed intoxicated by magnolia a sheet of moonlight threads Strings of gold violins play sheet music Devine a canopy of shining foliage dark foliage silk vines Oh! How I wish I could see his face this man in a tuxedo as I dance in his embrace In the boudoir of my heart I long for his touch Will the strings of gold violins play eternally? The phantom within my heart Will he always be a fantasy? A poem is never finished, only abandoned. - Paul Valery (1871-1945) [This message has been edited by Victoria (edited 01-23-2001).] |
