THE SINGLE GUY Going out with the good`ol boys And drinking up a storm Fishing every weekend Was nothing outta the norm. Hootin, hollerin and gruntin like pigs As the pretty girs walked by Passin gas and laughin about it Sometimes until we`d cry. Sittin by the the camp fire Tellin lies all night Sometimes tellin`m twice If the first time wasn`t right. Man Im never gettin married This is the life for me I dont want no kids or o`lady tellin me where to be. A FEW YEARS LATER Gathering up the little ones To spend a day at the park, Pushing swings and merry go rounds Sometimes until its dark, Yellin, screamin, bitten my tongue Kissin owies of those that cry Changin diapers and wiping behinds With a smell that`ll water eyes. Readin bed time stories Two or three times a night Daddy thats not how it goes Start over and read it right. As I close my eyes and think back I still wouldnt change a thing Not a regret with the little ones Or the day I gave her the ring. Mr.Magoo GBYA |

(sigh) Ahhhhh, this was so sweet! This was very humorous how you set this up, with the image of before and after, and filling the voice with a humorous yet sweet tone! Excellent poem, my friend, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

Who would ever thought that a 300 pound, one legged, toothless midget with 12 kids could ever get so much attention? Mr.Bill Im guessing that you liked this or you got stuck in here.lol Thank you Sir. On a serious note I`d like to thank all of you for reading and responding. This obviously is a little bit exaggerated Im still happy that i could share with all of you and hopefully put a smile on your faces. Thank You and God Bless. Mr.Magoo |

Been in that exact moment and system of thought and I too cherish being a father above all else in my life. This was wonderful and truely spoken from a father and husband that loves. Sorry to be so late in welcoming you but I do make it eventually. Hope to see more of your works in the future. If you find yourself stranded in a storm ...then reach for my hand and we will play in the puddles together |

Hi! This was a very humorous and yet touching account of the way we change. I bet your life is much happier now, then when you were bar running! Peace. Sandra |
