It’s not that this song Is all that good; It just reminds me of a better time; And, no matter how bad the lyrics, Or how harsh the melody, It soothes me. When words can’t help; When sympathy just won’t do, This music plays, And I am restored. There is no better solace, No quicker way to ease the pain. I never said this sound was quality; All I know is that I can Lean on the harmony When I can’t stand On my own. I won't go, I won't sleep, I can't breathe until you're resting here with me... |

SnowPants~ Undeniably, the harmony holds us up ~ 'All I know is that I can Lean on the harmony When I can’t stand On my own.' Nicely played. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Sometimes I hear a song and it takes me back to my younger days when I had no worries. Almost magical. Although I cant hear any music if some is playing I can still relate. Mr.Magoo |

snowpants, it's strange but the music does that for me too, and when I least expect it fragments of a song flit by. Good write! Kethry Those of us who refuse to risk and grow get swallowed up by life. Patty Hansen. |

Marge: Sometimes it's the only thing that will hold us up. Thanks! Mr. Magoo: Yes, magical is what it can be sometimes to hear those certain few songs. Thanks! Kethry: Yeah, I know what you mean. It does seem to hit you when you're not paying attention. Thanks! Glad you liked it! sp I won't go, I won't sleep, I can't breathe until you're resting here with me... |

BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You nailed my friend. Wonderful write from you and of course I too find comfort in the melody at times and never even hear the words. Start humming my friend..............How about starting with "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" |

I got this idea from the countless times when my friends make fun of the music I play in my car, but I just absolutely love it. I know, I can't wait until the season starts, too! My other Mets poem is gettin' quite lonely. But, it is assured to have company in my collection come October. Thank you, my dear friend. I won't go, I won't sleep, I can't breathe until you're resting here with me... |

Hi snowpants, I feel the same way as this poem. When I'm down and blue, I listen to a melody, and it reaches to my insides. And it does help me. Have a nice day. BC |

You mean you would actually degrade a poem for the Cardinals by placing it next to one about the METS? How shameless [This message has been edited by Mark Bohannan (edited 01-21-2001).] |

Bill: yes, there is no better cure! Thanks! Glad you liked it! Mark: ok...lemme explain ONE MORE TIME. First of all, a Cardinals poem would be extremely fortunate to have a place in my collection next to a Mets poem, BUT, that is not what the case is going to be, silly. < !signature--> I won't go, I won't sleep, I can't breathe until you're resting here with me...
