I have these two daughters one a thinker the other lives the moment both have my heart. I get them every other weekend for a few precious times that effect me. The thinker knows love, hate and the awfullness of seperation. The other just knows the feeling of a sunny day on her cheek. Of the two, I worry for the thinker for she is like me and allows her heart to feel. She lends it to others that wish it no harm but in the end a pain must come. To her I hold and capture her tears to flow with mine and those failing years. |

Here come those goosebumps again. My dad told me that very thing not long ago... ~The hardest thing is watching the one you love... love someone else.~ |

Michael, One day when your girls are older they will know just what a great Dad you were, are, and always will be. You can't be there every moment of the day to protect them, but I think they know you would if you could. A beautiful poem from a Dad's heart to theirs.
