Oh how words can hurt sometimes. I once did a childrens sermon on exactly this. I had one of the children squeeze out an entire tube of toothpaste into a tin pie plate and then asked two other children to put it back in the tube with a spoon and a knife. Wehn they were unable to, I said that is what happens when words slip out of our mouth. When we say things that hurt other people, it's too late to put them back. Great poem !!  |
