"Better Days" What is happening to us? Are we simply starting to fall apart All that I know is pain and confusion Seem to completely fill my heart The tension and the stress Is starting to become too much When all that I really want Is to feel your wonderful touch The distance and the miles Beginning to take its toll Even though I'm only twenty-three I suddenly feel quite old In the middle of the night I scream out your name But nothing seems to change Everything just remains the same Allowing others to control us And the way that we feel For they tell us what we feel is not right That our true love isn't real But you and I know different So for another day I hold on I will continue to do so Till the day all the love is gone I pray that we never part And that you are always by my side All this pain and confusion I feel I try my hardest to hide If ever you should go I only want you to know one thing Never have I regretted being with you I wouldn't take back a single thing I'm holding on for better days One with sunny blue skies The day when I no longer have to cry And keeping asking the question why Hoping that all the chaos Doesn't change me and the way that I feel Praying that from the hurt and damage Together you and I can both heal I know that you love me And you know how much I love you So I'm holding on for better days That's what I'm gonna do But if ever you should need a way out Just simply let me know And with grace and dignity With love I'll let you go All the petty fights and arguments Are stupid and a waste of time When all I want to say is that I love you And hope that you are forever mine But the words get all tangled And I can't from the words I want to say So now I am telling you I love you today, tomorrow, and for always Amy M. Amy love, this is such a beautiful and heart written piece from you. I know you have in your heart something so rare and precious that I hope never fades. You have true love, it is as much a wonder to see it shine from you as it must be for you to feel it. Hold onto your dreams love, for when they die, hope begins to fade.
